action stuff on essays

in somewhat from a family the author uses action, speech, thought and physical description in his essay. Some actions would be when he thought about killing himself. Some physical description would be about his talk when he sees Alice and those new televisions.

Some speech stuff would be when he there is a dialogue between him and his family like when they got a tv or when he had to go to the doctors about his problem.

Some thoughts he used in the paper is when he talks about the past in the future (present) tense. Like him saying he was going to kill himself or he hoped that the lady was Alice.

coming home again

talks about a kid and his mother who as cancer and how they have a cooking thing that ties them together. Talks about how is mother helped the author learn how to cook and stuff. Some of the abstraction here is mother child relationship. How to cope with the death of a love one (mother). What it is like being in a culture that is not “American”.

tracks and ties

its about this kid and this kid’s friend and their relationship that they had. Basically its about how friends relationship changes over time and how the bad stuff can change people and how its best to stay away from it. Its mostly about family + learning about correct dating habits (relationships with your spouse where your not killing each other). I got lost in this paper.

So in this essay the author talks about tv shows that he watched while growing up in days. (the olden days) In this essay he slowly talks about things that changed over the course of his life. Like how his dad kept moving in and out of his house. a

After each little change in the history of tv it appears that the author also as a major change when tv is having major changes. Like his dad keeps leaving his family. He gets into a depression when he is still watching tv. One thing I found funny was when he said when he got his driver’s liscense the dog passed away so I think he might be hinting at the fact that he might have hit it.

When ever he starts talking about what this really means is he is talking abractly. When I was reading this it appears like he mostly talks like at that instance in time and not really what this really means or what. It just a really good paper.

Ted

Ted lives in Rolla, Missouri, which bassicaly means he lives in the middle of nowhere. He appears to not really have any social weakness ie being poor or anything but he does seem to be the “odd” kid out. He loves to talk about smart things unlike his classmates who would rather talk about simple things like cars. He seems pretty laid back and easy going over this spelling bee thing and he loves math over spelling that is always a plus I picked him because of his views of his peers and he likes math.

She lives in Ambler, Pennsylvania and her family appears to be okay educated. She must like All in the Family to make that joke about her family. Her disadvantages seems like her family can’t really help her but she practices with them in spirt. I picked her because she must love All in the Family and that show is all right.

The author talks about chickens and the week of getting prepared to kill a chicken. He talks to the farmer about rules and the USDA about rules and things. The farmer talks about the rules and how the USDA tries to make a one rule fits all. Which does not work becuase the farmer works around the rules because his slaughter house is small and not a big factory.

the author goes into a great detail about killing chickens. (side note my grandma said she had to kill a chicken before with an ax and miss and had a chicken run around half dead for a few minutes) Wow that is just scary that people could become sadistic if they slaughter all the time.

Basically killing chickens leads to a cycle. Kill the chicken and use the remains to grow new grass for the new chickens to feed off of and people get good clean chickens for dinner. repeat!

basically in chapter 13 he talks about where the food goes and why people who have never tried close to home grown food should try it.

I had no clue that eating by the seasons could change stuff. I guess I take for granted internationally trading to get food all year long.

He talks about the food he eats after working for a week and what to pick from.

A girl is running around the track at the Co-Rec. She is running really slowly and stands out compared to all the other athletic people running around her.

She appears to be worn out and he running style is very unathletic.

She watches the other girls wishing she could look like them. They are drinking a sports drink.

She slowly walks over to her bag on the track.

She skeptically pulls the sports drink out of her bag and drinks it.

Fade out to time clock.

Zoom in to girl standing looking at herself in the bathroom mirror.

She is wearing tight clothes. Her body looks much more athletic than the other day. Her abs are tighter and her boobs are much larger than the day before.

Zoom into the sports drink sitting next to her.

Fade out.

Fade in to a guy running on a treadmill. He is wearing really baggy clothes and glasses. He looks really unathletic.

Zoom into the guy who is struggling to catch his breath. He stops the treadmill because he can’t go on any further.

He wipes his face on a towel. He feels really defeated.

A really athletic guy walks in a hands the unathletic, tired guy a sports drink.

The unathletic guy looks at it skeptically and then decides to take a drink because he wants to be more athletic and muscular.

Fade out to a clock transition.

Zoom into the same guy running on the treadmill the next day. He is really athletic and looks really macho and muscular. He is wearing tight work out clothes and appears to have alot of self confidence

Girls begin to check out the guy running on the treadmill.

He takes one final drink, showing the customers the bottle close up.

Fade out.

Chapter 9 and 11

First he talks about the choices we get when we go to the supermarket to buy food. Such as fish.milk.eggs. chicken. He then goes on to talk about the word organic and its meaning in the supermarkets and that the average person cares or only gets information about the price.

Rosie is just some chicken that’s is many. People’s park is where people in the 1969 grew organic food to just grow food becuase no one was doing it.

He really goes deep into the this world organic dating all the way back at 1940 in England. He talks about the war and how chemicals are being used in war and how people in the 60s wanted to grow organic food because they did not want to support the war.

How can eating be more right or more wrong? I got really lost in all this senftifc stuff something about how organic stuff works I guess.

I’m getting lost in this reading. Like he goes on and on about stuff how the two choices of growing food and how the organic people lost.

He talks about how and why people need to change the system more then the system changes you. He talks about the type of bug killer used on non organic food and the negative effects they have.

In section 4 he talks about the farm where the organic chicken is raised.

5 he talks about the food he ate. The benefits of eating organic over not organic and the benefits of eating non organic .
